Construction workers

Foreign workers for construction – fully legal and on schedule

We supply bricklayers, steel fixers, carpenters, scaffolders, pavers and construction assistants from Asia, Africa, Latin America and Eastern Europe. We handle all employment legalisation, provide accommodation and adaptation support.

Workforce in construction

Skilled worker shortage on site – a proven solution

For years, the construction industry has lacked qualified bricklayers, steel fixers, carpenters and scaffolders. The domestic labour market cannot keep up with supplying workers, and delays on site generate contractual penalties. Employing foreigners is now standard – provided that legalisation runs smoothly and without the risk of inspection.

JOBCEN takes over the entire process: from recruitment in the country of origin, through employment legalisation, to adaptation support in Poland. We provide an English-speaking coordinator and a guarantee for the hired worker. We organise accommodation on favourable and attractive terms.

  • Legalisation applications submitted electronically.
  • Oświadczenie o powierzeniu wykonywania pracy (declaration of entrusting the performance of work) for 4 countries: Armenia, Belarus, Moldova, Ukraine – 24 months.
  • Work permit – handling of the entire procedure.
  • Guarantee for the worker, English- and Russian-speaking coordinator, Polish language course.

FAQ

Questions and answers

We answer questions from construction employers.

How long does employment legalisation take for a foreign construction worker?

The procedure usually takes 2–7 months – depending on the country of origin and chosen route. The Oświadczenie o powierzeniu wykonywania pracy for citizens of Armenia, Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine is the faster option; the Zezwolenie na pracę takes longer. JOBCEN handles all formalities.

What is the cost of hiring a construction worker through an agency?

The cost of the service depends on the cooperation model: permanent recruitment, temporary work or outsourcing. A single fixed rate includes all costs, without dividing them into separate items.

Do foreign workers speak Polish?

Most candidates do not know Polish at the start. That is why we provide a Polish language course with industry vocabulary and an English- and Russian-speaking coordinator on the construction site. This ensures smooth communication from day one.

How quickly can you supply workers to site?

The time from signing the agreement to the worker's arrival is usually 2–7 months – that is how long legalisation and travel arrangements take. When the deadline is tight, we look for candidates already residing legally in Poland – then only a change of employer is needed, without the full entry procedure.

Who is responsible for employment legality and any inspections?

As a temporary work agency listed in KRAZ no. 75577, we take full responsibility for the legality of documents and procedures. In the event of a State Labour Inspection audit, we provide complete documentation. Under the temporary employment model, the agency pays the wage, while the user employer is responsible for health and safety and work organisation on site.

Can I hire a temporary worker for longer than a year?

Temporary work may last a maximum of 18 months in any 36 consecutive months with a single user employer. Changing the temporary work agency does not reset this limit – what counts is the worker–user employer relationship. After this period the worker can be employed permanently.
